WHOLE CARE FOR THE WHOLE PERSON

At Be Well Family Medicine, we combine evidence-based primary care with lifestyle and wellness medicine to help patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their health journey.

“The Be Well Doc”

Dr. Aminah Jones—better known as The Be Well Doc—is a board-certified Family Medicine physician through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physician through the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM). She is also a Wellness Coach, dedicated to helping patients pursue meaningful, sustainable health.

Dr. Jones earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Georgetown University.

Why Family Medicine

Family medicine allows Dr. Jones to work with patients in ways that directly affect their everyday lives. It gives her the ability to address foundational medical needs while also considering how those needs influence long-term health and quality of life.

Throughout her career, she has found deep satisfaction in partnering with patients to reach life-changing goals. Patients frequently express gratitude for her willingness to listen, for taking the time to understand their concerns, and for making them feel truly heard.

The Meaning Behind Be Well

Dr. Jones named her practice Be Well as a reminder of the goal—no matter the task before us. To her, wellness is not a buzzword. Wellness means intentionally pursuing good health in all areas of life—mental, medical, and physical. It is an active pursuit and a state of overall well-being.

A Different Kind of Experience

Visits at Be Well feel different from a typical medical office. From the aesthetics of the space to the services offered, every detail is intentional. Patients are welcomed with simple comforts such as water and calming music, and the environment is designed to feel warm and personal rather than clinical.

Care at Be Well is not one-size-fits-all. Patients receive one-on-one, individualized attention from the moment they are brought back from the waiting room until Dr. Jones personally escorts them at the conclusion of their visit. Each patient receives a tailored experience designed specifically for their needs.

Who Thrives at Be Well

Dr. Jones loves caring for patients who are seeking a provider willing to focus on preventing disease, not just treating it. Her practice is especially well-suited for patients who:

  • Want timely access to care without long waits

  • Are willing to share their full health history

  • Value a thoughtful, step-by-step approach to uncovering the root cause of concerns

  • Understand that some issues require thorough evaluation—even when the cause may seem obvious

Many patients arrive feeling frustrated or fearful—often because they have not felt heard, do not fully understand what is happening with their health, or have previously felt rushed through care. These patients often thrive in Dr. Jones’ practice.

Core Values

Dr. Jones holds firm to three values she will not compromise:

  • Ethical care in all decisions

  • Honesty, even when the answer is uncertain or requires further evaluation

  • Patient safety, including taking the necessary steps to fully assess a concern—even when those steps may feel inconvenient or unnecessary

The Goal of Every Visit

After a visit at Be Well, Dr. Jones hopes patients will:

  • Feel heard and cared for

  • Have a clear understanding of what is happening with their health

  • Know the next steps in their care plan

Her vision for Be Well is to be a supportive presence in the community, empowering individuals throughout their health and wellness journeys.
